is a GAS strike needed?

DONT BUY ANY GAS "MAY 15TH – MAY 18TH". CONSERVE THE GAS YOU HAVE JUST GO TO WORK OR SCHOOL NO JOY RIDING….ITS TIME TO TAKE A STAND AGAINST THIS GAS ISSUE….THESE OIL COMPANIES ARE MAKING BILLIONS OFF OF GAS, AND THE PRICE IS STILL RISING. THEIR BANK ACCOUNTS ARE GETTING FATTER AND FATTER. THEY COULD USE THOSE BILLIONS TO HELP GAS PRICES GET LOWER. WE ARE MAKING CARS WITH LESS GAS MILEAGE. AMERICAS TECHNOLOGY HAS IMPROVED SO MUCH, BUT MPG IS STILL THE SAME SINCE THE 80′S…WHATS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE? WE CAN SEND A GUY TO THE MOON; MAKE SMALLER CELL PHONES, BUT CANT GET BETTER GAS MILEAGE OR LOWER GAS PRICE’S….THATS A JOKE.. RIGHT NOW GAS IS CLOSE TO $3.50…..SO WHAT, SHOULD WE WAIT TIL THEY CHARGING US $6.00 A GALLON. AT $6.00 A GALLON IF YOU HAVE A 23 GALLON TANK YOU’LL ONLY SPEND $138.00 TO FILL UP. THATS NOT BAD RIGHT? ……EXXON MOBIL IS A MOB FAMILY AND WE ARE ALL BEING PLAYED. SUPPLY AND DEMAND…YEAH IF OUR SUPPLY IS SO LOW WHY R WE STILL MAKING CARS THAT RUN OFF OF GAS. THEY REALLY MEAN THEIR ACCOUNTS ARE LOW AND THERE TRYING TO GET MO MONEY…MO MONEY…MO MONEY….BLOOD MONEY. THEY FEEL WE NEED THEM, BUT WE HAVENT ALWAYS HAD CARS TO GET AROUND THE EARTH……IM SURE THE NEW 2008 H2 HUMMER WILL BE OUT SOON. IT WILL PROBABLY GET 9 MPG, OR WHAT, IS IT GONNA RUN OFF OF SALT WATER. I KNOW THERE ARE BIGGER WARS OUT THERE TO FIGHT….BUT HOW MANY WARS HAS THIS OIL CAUSED, AND HOW LONG DO WE WAIT? SO IF YOU CAN, PLEASE DONT BUY GAS "MAY 15TH – MAY 18TH". I KNOW MOST OF US ARE TIRED OF SPENDING ALL YOUR MONEY ON GAS. I CAN BUY A PAIR OF SHOES EVERYTIME I FILL UP. I CAN USE GAS MONEY TO EAT AT RED LOBSTER EVERYDAY (I KNOW MY BIG TRUCK DRIVERS KNOW WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT)…. WE GOT PEOPLE DYING BECAUSE OF THIS LIQUID GOLD, I HAD A COUSIN WHO WAS KILLED B/C OF GAS ….WHY?, FOR WHAT? SO SOME GUY CAN RETIRE WITH BILLIONS OF DOLLARS. SO TRY TO SPREAD THE WORD SEND THIS MESSAGE TO AT LEAST 3 OTHER PEOPLE… WE NEED TO SHOW THESE OIL TYCOONS WHATS UP. HOW HARD IS IT TO NOT BUY GAS ON THESE DAYS, WE ARE ALWAYS GOING ON DIETS….WE NEED TO TRY A GAS DIET. NOW DONT FORGET NOW "MAY 15TH -18TH" GET THE GAS YOU NEED ON THE 14TH AND 19TH. HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE ARE JOINING IN….LETS TURN IT TO THOUSANDS OR MILLIONS OR LETS MAKE SOME BILLIONS LIKE EXXON DOES."
According, to what I’m seeing at the pumps today, I don"t think many people, are actually doing there part. I guess people like spending 3.00 and more for gas? I,for one, will do whatever, it takes.

Why just one day? Maybe when Americans start to conserve year-round and make even the slightest changes in their lifestyles, it would help their pocketbooks overall. This "strike" will not make a bit of difference; in fact, it will only hurt the individual outlets that sell gas, since they depend on secondary purchases (snacks, drinks, etc.) for profits. The oil companies have already made their money selling gas to those outlets.

Sorry but u can bitch and moan all u want but nothing will help…you need to google ( how do gas prices work)…then u will see there is no hope in anything u do. U must understand how the world, business, oil, gas stations, and distributors work…its not one person.
by the way we pay up to 8.00 dollars here in europe and u never here us complain….I am american and now live in europe but it has no impact on our lives whatsoever….maybe the states could learn from riding bikes, making buses more accesible as a way of traveling and building train systems…its so much more easier.

A day or week of not buying gas won’t do squat. You have to ride your bike and stop buying gas tatally. Permanently. And not just you-everyone.

This is stupid!!! If I get $20 in gas on the 14th and get no gas on the 15th, it will be the same as getting $10 on the 14th and another $10 on the 15th. My husband and I work full time and have 2 children in school. Public transportation is not an option. You just need to get over it! They’ve got us. Admit that you are defeated. They can charge $6 a gallon and we are still going to pay it because many MANY of us do have much of a choice. You can save your gas money and buy a bike. I will be sure to wave as I drive by you!

it will take a week of no gas buying to make a dent in big oil and that would be every driver-bussiness to not purchase gas, i only buy gas as i need it and thats 20 beans at a time lil over a 1/4 a tank
