On 3rd of November 1975 the first barrel of oil was pumped from the North Sea on to Scotland’s shores. It was an event that would change the course of history. This landmark film shows how the modern history of Scotland is intrinsically linked to the black gold being pumped out of the North Sea.

If the English didnt get us in such a mess to start with Scotland would be one of those countries that people would want to visit, work or even live and bring up a family, but they had to it up because they thought there was still such a thing as a United Kingdom !!! But if they open theres eyes now they wont like what they see ! Full indipendants for Scotland would put them back in time ! back to 1973 when SCOTLAND brung oil ashore ! !!!!

My brother is a …
My brother is a diver and has worked on the rigs for years since leaving the Navy. He told me that it is easier for them to train a good engineer to dive than it is to train a diver to be an engineer so if you have the right skills, they will either train you or tell you where to find the training to work offshore. It is well paid but it isn’t a ‘ nice ‘ job. The North sea is freezing and working at depth requires sitting in decompression chambers etc. – sometimes for hours.

Interesting that the English hatemongers who routinely snear about disproportionate tax money going North, never mention the billions which have been flowing South for nearly forty years.
Some of that money should go to the rest of Scotland. Why are parts of Glasgow still like war zones?

I want Scotland to …
I want Scotland to run her own affairs and be represented on the world stage by people who actually care about Scotland.Time and time again Westminster proves that it does not represent the best way forward for Scotland.The oil is just an added benefit – not a reason to become Independent. IMO the majority of Scots have just been too scared to vote for Independence-but with us now seeing all the lies that have been spread about Scotland by Westminster the people will hopefully do the right thing

Not only that but do not forget our world class soldiers. England likes being thought of as a world force and Scotland is a massive part of that. Even though not one English person could ever consider that. Scotland’s natural resources and the best soldiers in the world keep England higher in the world pecking order. Unbelievable arrogance without base and a longing for their great old times of empire. I like England and English people but I want Scotland to be a separate country. The only people who can not see the obvious advantages of divorce from the UK are some Scots.
