What happened to all of the oil fields and gold that Sadam Husein owned after he was hung?

Did we give that to the Iraqee government as well? If so, Why when we needed it for our economy?
I mean, I don’t know what for certain happened to it, for all I know, it could have went to the Bin Laden family, there’s really no telling with Bush, but I should think that if we would have kept it, we might be a little bit better of economically. I haven’t always been against the war in Iraq, but I am a little whizzed off at the fact that America has not gotten to receive any of the spoils of that war.
All the USA has gotten out of this war is dead soldiers, and debt. That’s not how war works, judging from our economy, I should say it should be obvious to all that that manner of handling things does not work.
Don’t even come up with we need to be humanitarians. Anyone who says that we’ve acted in a humanitarian manner in this war at all is full of bull butter.
Our soldier have went over there and stompped some booty, but, we’re just not getting benefited from it in any way, what’s our reward? Knowing that we helped others? Well, there are those right here in the USA that could use that help, oh wait let me guess republicans, that would be considered hand outs, but its ok to give all our money to other countries.
Remember what the Bush Administration told us? "We would be welcomed as liberators!" and "This war will pay for itself!"
Well, it didn’t turn out quite that way. We’re stuck spending $10B/month over there when they don’t even want our help, while they sit back on an $80B budget surplus.

You have brought up some great points. I think the best way to answer would be that the "war" in iraq is more about economic stabilization than anything else. A world economy is at play not just our domestic economy. The bigger picture reveals more parties in the mix than just the gold ole U S and A.
